The Neon Sky Film Festival has announced its inaugural event, scheduled to take place from May 7 to May 9, 2027, in Las Vegas. The festival is launching in partnership with the THIRD Street Arts & Media Incubator to support emerging filmmakers and bolster the creative community in Southern Nevada.

The festival is currently accepting film submissions from filmmakers across the globe. The upcoming program will feature independent feature films, short films, filmmaker Q&A sessions, and various networking opportunities. The event will be centered in the Las Vegas Arts District, aiming to provide a platform for original storytelling and emerging cinematic voices.

Festival co-founder and director Rose Watson said the event was designed to merge the unique energy of Las Vegas with a commitment to championing unconventional filmmakers. The partnership with THIRD Street is intended to facilitate direct investment in the local creative ecosystem while celebrating independent cinema.

Daz Weller, CEO of THIRD Street Arts & Media Incubator, noted that the collaboration is part of a broader effort to build the necessary creative infrastructure in Las Vegas. The goal is to help the city in evolving into a location that develops, supports, and exports professional artists and creators.

Located in downtown Las Vegas, THIRD Street Arts & Media Incubator serves as the first multidisciplinary arts and media incubator in Nevada. The facility provides integrated spaces for live performance, film, broadcast production, and education, functioning as a center for the development and production of local stories.

Filmmakers of all backgrounds and experience levels are encouraged to submit their work for consideration. Detailed submission guidelines and further festival updates are available through the official Neon Sky Film Festival website.
