Depop and Burton are launching a collaborative initiative to bring five decades of snowboarding history to the secondhand market.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Burton brand, the partnership will feature 50 archival pieces available through Depop’s United States community. In recognition of the company’s milestone, each item is priced at $50.50 or less. The collection includes outerwear, apparel, and accessories sourced directly from Burton’s archives, with pieces dating from the late 1970s through the 2000s.
The curated selection includes items from various sub-brands, such as Analog, Ronin, Mark XIII, and Idiom. The initiative is designed to connect the historical evolution of snowboarding with contemporary fashion sensibilities, allowing a new generation of consumers to access well-made vintage pieces.
The archival shop launched today for U.S. shoppers. A second collection is planned for release in mid-November.
Burton was founded in 1977 by Jake Burton Carpenter and has been a primary driver in the development of snowboarding, helping to transition the activity from a backyard hobby into a professional global sport. Depop operates as a circular fashion marketplace that promotes the resale of secondhand goods to extend the lifecycle of apparel and redefine fashion consumption.
