FaZe Esports has claimed the Rainbow Six championship at the 2026 Esports World Cup in Paris, securing $750,000 in prize money and completing a historic competitive trifecta.
The GameSquare subsidiary defeated FURIA 3-1 in the Grand Final to capture the championship and earn 1,000 Esports World Cup Club Championship points. The victory extends an extraordinary period of dominance for the FaZe Esports Rainbow Six team, which has now won the 2025 Six Invitational, the 2026 Six Invitational, and the 2026 Esports World Cup. The organization is the first to complete the achievement referred to as the R6 Esports trifecta, establishing the team as one of the most successful in the history of the sport.
The $750,000 prize is expected to contribute to the third-quarter 2026 revenue for GameSquare Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:GAME). Leadership at GameSquare noted that the consecutive championship wins demonstrate the competitive excellence of the team and create meaningful value through global brand exposure and expanded commercial partnerships.
The 2026 Esports World Cup is among the largest global events in competitive gaming, featuring a record $75 million prize pool. The tournament brings together more than 200 clubs and over 2,000 players who are competing across 25 tournaments and 24 different esports titles.
FaZe Esports remains active in the competition, as its Counter-Strike team has also advanced to the playoffs, offering further opportunities to secure prize winnings and additional Club Championship points.
