Prime Video has released its broadcasting schedule for the 2026-27 NBA season, which will include the service’s first exclusive presentation of the Eastern Conference Finals.
The second season of NBA on Prime will commence on 23 October with a doubleheader. The opening night features the reigning world champion New York Knicks against the Boston Celtics, followed by a contest between the Houston Rockets and the San Antonio Spurs at the Moody Center in Austin.
The Emirates NBA Cup 2026 will be featured prominently, including a Black Friday doubleheader on 27 November. That event will include the Miami Heat versus the New York Knicks and the Los Angeles Lakers against the San Antonio Spurs. The tournament will conclude with the championship game on 11 December at Butler University’s Hinkle Fieldhouse.
The streaming platform is also set to host NBA Global Games in January, with the San Antonio Spurs playing the New Orleans Pelicans in Paris on 14 January, followed by a game in Manchester on 17 January. This follows a period of significant growth for the service, which saw a 28% year-on-year increase in international coverage viewership during the previous season.
Major matchups throughout the year include Giannis Antetokounmpo’s return to Milwaukee with the Miami Heat on 28 January and several prime-time Saturday games tailored for European audiences. The New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, San Antonio Spurs, and Los Angeles Lakers are scheduled to appear 10 times each on the platform.
The postseason will start in April 2027 with the SoFi NBA Play-In Tournament, covering six games across three nights. This will lead into select first- and second-round playoff games before the exclusive broadcast of the Eastern Conference Finals.
To provide comprehensive coverage, Prime Video will air wraparound programming including pre-game shows from Amazon MGM Studios, halftime segments, and a post-game hour titled NBA Nightcap.
