Registration is now open for the Big Apple Triathlon, set for October 10, 2026, offering athletes a chance to race through some of the city’s most iconic landmarks. After a 24‑hour early access period for clubs, teams, colleges, and early subscribers, general registration is now available for both the Sprint and Olympic distances, each capped at 1,250 participants.

The triathlon begins with a swim in the Hudson River, followed by a bike course along the West Side Highway, and finishes with a run through Central Park. Organizers say early registration is recommended, as spots are expected to sell quickly and pricing increases in tiers as the race fills. The first 500 entries in each distance qualify for the initial pricing, followed by subsequent rounds for the next 500 and final 250.

The event is produced by Alpha Win, a Saugerties-based company that has organized more than 150 triathlons and running races across the United States since 2011. Founder and race director Tommy Z. Struzzieri said the Big Apple Triathlon is designed to accommodate athletes of all levels while delivering a professional, high-quality race experience.
