TikTok is strengthening its commitment to online safety through a new partnership with TLC and The Cybersmile Foundation, joining the “Give a Little” campaign for this year’s National Bullying Prevention Month. The collaboration aims to raise awareness about the impact of cyberbullying and promote compassion and inclusion across social media.
The campaign, which launches in October and coincides with World Mental Health Day on October 10, features two public service announcements encouraging empathy and responsible online behavior. One spot features TikTok creator and Baylen Out Loud star Baylen Dupree, who has shared her experience living with Tourette Syndrome with her 10 million followers. A second PSA highlights TLC personalities supporting messages of kindness and respect online.
TikTok’s involvement this year marks an expansion of its ongoing safety initiatives, which include tools like Comment Filters, content moderation features, and Family Pairing options that allow parents to help manage their teens’ app experience. The platform is also directing users to its Bullying Prevention Guide, which provides resources on how to identify and report abusive behavior.
The campaign aligns with TikTok’s broader efforts to maintain a safe and positive environment for its community. On September 14, the Wall Street Journal reported that the United States and China had reached a framework agreement for TikTok’s U.S. operations to be sold to a consortium of domestic investors, signaling progress toward a resolution that could strengthen the platform’s long-term presence in North America. The pending deal, expected to be confirmed by both governments, was described as part of broader trade discussions and viewed as a positive step for user trust.
By joining forces with TLC and Cybersmile, TikTok is using its reach to amplify the message of digital empathy and mental health awareness. The campaign encourages users to participate throughout October by sharing supportive messages with the hashtag #GiveALittleTLC and by exploring educational content from Cybersmile focused on online wellbeing.
Through these efforts, TikTok continues to position user safety and mental health as central priorities, reinforcing the company’s commitment to a more positive and inclusive digital experience.
