Popfuzion Live, a digital program focused on positive and entertainment news, premiered its first episode on Roku TV on June 6. The series is produced by Popfuzion TV, a network centered on highlighting individuals making a difference in their communities through stories that aim to inspire and inform.

Co-hosted by Francesca Ellana and Rochelle Amber, the show features interviews with public figures, nonprofit leaders, and everyday changemakers. Ellana, who also co-created Popfuzion TV, developed the show to spotlight uplifting content in a media space often dominated by negative headlines.

The show’s co-creator said, “I created Popfuzion Live because I wanted to keep people informed about what’s happening in entertainment, while also giving them a chance to see a different, more personal side of their favorite celebrities.”

The debut episode, titled The Ultimate 90s Throwback, included a segment with actor Dennis McDonald from Bad Boys and a visit to the Friday House in celebration of Popfuzion’s Roku launch.

New episodes are scheduled to stream every Friday through August 1. Episode two, Against All Odds, airs June 13 and features Lucy Cullen and Emily O’Brien of Comeback Catalyst, along with actor LeQuan Bennett. Episode three, Spotlight On Good, follows on June 20 with appearances from voice actor JP Karliak and actress Tegan Muggeridge.

The series was produced in collaboration with I Ain’t No Herb Jackson Studios. Speaking about the partnership this week, Herb Jackson Jr., Executive Producer, said, “In today’s digital landscape, we often encounter harmful content on news feeds and social media platforms. The phrase ‘If it bleeds, it leads’ holds a lot of truth. Such content is designed to provoke emotional responses, leading to division and hatred. I find this approach unappealing and prefer to hear about the positive things people are doing. Popfuzion Live addresses this issue by focusing on uplifting and positive stories.”

Upcoming episodes include Breaking Barriers with Fitness on June 27, Hot Off the Set on July 4, and Being Authentically You on July 11. Later in the season, Spotlight On Mental Health airs July 18, Against All Odds returns July 25, and Hope in Action concludes the season on August 1.
