The releases include Final Cut Pro for iPad 2 and Final Cut Pro for Mac 10.8, both featuring advanced artificial intelligence-driven tools designed to improve workflow efficiency.

Final Cut Pro for iPad 2 leverages the capabilities of the new iPad Pro, equipped with the M4 chip, allowing for rendering speeds up to twice as fast and supporting up to four times more streams of ProRes RAW compared to the M1 chip. A standout feature is Live Multicam, which enables users to wirelessly connect and preview up to four cameras simultaneously. This feature integrates with the new Final Cut Camera app, available on both iPhone and iPad, providing a director’s view and manual control over camera settings such as focus, shutter speed, and ISO.

Additionally, Final Cut Pro for iPad 2 supports external project storage, enabling users to create and open projects without consuming internal storage space. The update also introduces compatibility with the new Apple Pencil Pro, which offers enhanced control through features like barrel roll and squeeze to access brushes and settings quickly.

Final Cut Pro for Mac 10.8 includes new AI features that leverage the Neural Engine in Apple silicon. The Enhance Light and Color feature automatically adjusts video for optimal color correction, while Smooth Slo-Mo intelligently blends frames to produce high-quality slow-motion effects. Other improvements include organizational tools that streamline post-production workflows, such as custom naming for color corrections and video effects, a search function for missing media or effects in the timeline index, and text-based timeline search capabilities.

These updates reflect Apple’s commitment to advancing its professional video editing tools, providing users with powerful new features to enhance their creative projects.
