Italian entrepreneur Marco Valentinsig is encouraging brands to adapt new social media policies to protect their online reputations.

Founder of Beliked, the entrepreneur recently revealed the launch of his company’s new social media policy tools that can help brands regulate and protect social media context across their digital platforms.

With the power of social media evident in the world today, companies need to be more careful about how they interact online. And this also goes for both public facing accounts and internal communications.

Having launched his successful social media marketing agency in Italy, Valentinsig has found a growing demand from international brands looking to put into place more suitable social media practices.

Among some of the key components of an effective social media policy include the context of how the company communicates its message, the relationship of its employees including top management, and the use of private and public accounts. For external communications, the entrepreneur also recently launched a social media policy handbook that can be used by companies that want to make sure their interactions via their social media pages are in line with a brand’s values.

From external communications such as comments on social channels through to engagement with partners and external suppliers, the handbook is aimed at providing a way for brands to protect their online reputation and avoid any unnecessary mishaps when communicating with users.

As businesses and big brands extend their social media reach across platforms from Twitter to TikTok, there’s a growing need in the business community to ensure employees know the ins and outs of a brand’s social media policy.
